Dr. Jackson is a 1991 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She gained a wealth of experience during her first job as a mixed animal practitioner in rural New Hampshire. Dr. Jackson treated small and large animals even wildlife if the need arose. After four years, she moved to the Bethany area and gained almost 10 years experienced in emergency and critical care medicine and surgery while maintaining a strong involvement in general medicine by working as a local relief veterinarian. Dr. Jackson became the owner of Bethany Veterinary Hospital in 2009. She enjoys all aspects of her career, and especially enjoys the relationships that develop over the years while caring for her clients and their pets. In addition, she is a certified member of PennHIP.
Dr. Jackson can be seen running on many of the local trails and has recently began competing in sprint triathlons. She also enjoys spending time with her family doing anything outdoors. Her rescued pets include a dog, Louis, and two cats, Jinx & Jerry. Dr. Jackson has been involved with sled dog medicine for many years which has provided her the unique opportunity to experience the great outdoors in extreme winter conditions while working with these amazing canine athletes.
Dr. Wayne attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine and acquired clinical experience at Purdue University of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Wayne is a native, born and raised in Woodbridge, CT. Prior to veterinary school, he worked at a local small animal veterinary clinic. He broadened his horizons spending time with the Yale University laboratory animal veterinary service as well as with the farmyard animals of the Beardsley Zoo. Dr. Wayne is excited to pursue special interest in radiology, animal behavior and surgery.
When not spending time with his clients and patients, Dr. Wayne enjoys traveling, cooking, enjoying the outdoors and playing guitar. He also enjoys quality time with his cat, Calliope, and his Golden Retriever, Lilly.
After am impressive 50 year career as a veterinarian, Dr. Cary decided to retire in July 2016. All of us (staff, clients and patients), will greatly miss him being a daily part of BVH. His devotion and expertise in the field, as well as his involvement helping the local community will remain a "Gold Standard" for us all.
Dr. Cary is currently enjoying the next phase of his life since "disengaging" from veterinary medicine. He is keeping busy with his many interests such as the Lions Club, church choir, Habitat for Humanity, rowing, exploring the world, and most importantly....his family.
